Scrubber System

The scrubber unit is a three stage process. It consists a pre-scrubber unit & a scrubber unit. The Scrubber unit is made considering the plant capacity, customer requirements and the norms of the country where the plant is set up.

A Wet Fume Scrubber is installed to prevent air pollution. A wet fume scrubber is a device that is intended to remove hazardous Gases, fumes, and other air pollutants from the air.

They are commonly used in industrial or scientific settings to remove by- products of industrial or scientific processes that can be harmful to people or to the environment.

A fume scrubber is one way to manage the release of harmful substances into the air and adhere to the governmentmandated rules.

Wet scrubbers use a liquid scrubbing solution to collect hazardous particles from the gaseous industrial or scientific by- products.

The hazardous gas is forced through the liquid. Removal efficiency of pollutants is improved by the increase of surface area of the scrubber solution by the use of a spray nozzle, packed towers or an aspirator.

When the particles come in contact with the liquid, they leave the air and remain in the liquid, thereby purifying the air. The purified gas is then released through a smokestack, free of most of the contaminants that could harm people or the environment.

The wet fume two stage scrubber is used to neutralize fumes and remove organic substances. It is built out of polypropylene sheets. A sprayer is installed inside each tower to spray a 1000 mm thick layer of raschig rings.

A neutralization solution container containing sodium hydroxide is placed beneath the tower. The solution circulation pump has a capacity of 35 Lts/minute with a maximum head of 3 metres.

The suction fan has a max capacity of 2000 cfm. The outlet air of the blower is passed through the activated carbon chamber to eliminate any acidic fumes or odour if left unprocessed.
